MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo has died in Melbourne, He was aged 46.

Jock Zonfrillo is a well-known Scottish-Australian celebrity chef, restaurateur, and television personality. He is best known as a judge on the Australian version of the reality cooking show “MasterChef,” where he has been a regular judge since 2020.

Zonfrillo has also gained recognition for his work as the owner and head chef of the award-winning restaurant “Orana” in Adelaide, Australia. He is known for his commitment to using indigenous Australian ingredients and techniques in his cooking, and has been recognized as a champion of native Australian cuisine.

In addition to his work on “MasterChef,” Zonfrillo has appeared on numerous other television shows, including “Chef’s Table,” “The Final Table,” and “The Great Australian Bake Off.” He has also been recognized with numerous awards and accolades for his culinary work, including being named Australia’s Hottest Chef in 2018.

Celebrities and colleagues Zonfrillo crossed paths with in the cooking world have led tributes to the late star, describing the news as devastating.

Superstar chef Jamie Oliver, who appears in this season of MasterChef Australia, said he is in total shock at the news.
